 GREASEFREE

Drain Cleaner & Degreaser

Greasefree is a very effective drain cleaner and degreaser formulated to dissolve food fats, oils and greases which can accumulate in drainage systems causing blockages and backflow problems. This can very often be a particularly serious and diffilcult problem in drains connected to kitchens, restaurants and food preparation areas.

The natural solvents in Greasefree have a powerful citrus fragrance which also helps to overcome any ofensive odours caused by drain blockages.

Drain Cleaner & Unblocker

Greasefree is a highly concentrated liquid containing natural degreasing solvents which are totally safe for use in drains and greasetraps. Ideal for treating blocked and slow running kitchen drains where fat and grease build up has solidified causing problems. Greasefree can be used initially as a drain unblocker to dissolve the fats and greases within the drain in order to free the blockage. Once this has been achieved and the drain is clear and free running again applying a regular small amount of Greasefree to the system will maintain the drain and prevent future problems.

Using Greasefree to unblock and maintain drains is far preferable to using alternative methods such as rodding or using harsh acids or highly alkaline chemicals as both of these methods can cause damage to drains creating even greater expense in dealing with repairs. In contrast Greasefree contains a blend of natural and safe solvents which will not cause any harm to drainage sytems but it is still extremely effective in dealing with fat and grease blockages.

 How To Unblock Kitchen Drains

Greasefree can be used in several ways to treat drain blockages depending on the nature of the problem and the size of the establishment. In a home kitchen environment it is normal to simply pour the recommended amount of product into the kitchen drain so that it can react directly with the source of the blockage (eg. 200mls). The degreasing solvents will then start to dissolve any food fats, greases and oils to relieve the problem. We suggest this treatment to be carried out in the late evening when the kitchen is not in use and the product is given sufficient time to dissolve the blockage. The following morning a test can be carried out by pouring hot water into the sink drain to check that the blockage has been removed. If all is clear and running freely again then a regular small dose of Greasefree (eg. 50mls) each week will prevent future problems.

In a commercial kitchen situation where there may be several points within the kitchen to access the main drain each point should receive the treatment to ensure that the product comes into contact with any blockage or build up of fats within the system.
